The Mapbox Animated WindLines app helps to visualize the flow direction and magnitude of wind. The original demo was created based on numerous examples using Mapbox APIs and the open-source JS library windy.js. I later incorporated it into two larger web-based projects: Weather Awareness and Wild Fire detection applications.
